En los d\u00edas escolares en los que hab\u00eda que vestirse de lo que uno quer\u00eda ser cuando grande, NEV llegaba vestido de cantante. Creci\u00f3 imitando artistas, saltando de muebles mientras tocaba guitarras imaginarias y so\u00f1ando con alg\u00fan d\u00eda dedicarse al arte, aun cuando pr\u00e1cticamente no exist\u00eda una tradici\u00f3n musical dentro de su familia.<\/p><p>Sin embargo, su historia con Dios comenz\u00f3 a desarrollarse en paralelo.<\/p><p>Cuando sus padres se convirtieron en pastores durante su ni\u00f1ez, comenz\u00f3 a escuchar constantemente una palabra que durante a\u00f1os intent\u00f3 evitar: llamado. Le dec\u00edan que alg\u00fan d\u00eda ser\u00eda pastor, mientras \u00e9l hac\u00eda todo lo posible por alejarse de esa imagen. Quer\u00eda ser artista, quer\u00eda experimentar la vida a su manera y, durante una etapa de su juventud, esa resistencia lo llev\u00f3 a distanciarse de Dios.<\/p><p>Aunque nunca dej\u00f3 completamente el ambiente de la iglesia, reconoce que por a\u00f1os vivi\u00f3 una lucha interna entre lo que sab\u00eda de Dios, sus propios deseos, las presiones de la juventud y la b\u00fasqueda de en qui\u00e9n se convertir\u00eda.<\/p><p>Hasta que una conversaci\u00f3n con Dios cambi\u00f3 la direcci\u00f3n de su historia.<\/p><p>Con una guitarra en sus manos, en medio de un momento de ansiedad y desahogo, hizo una oraci\u00f3n sencilla:<\/p><blockquote>\u201cSe\u00f1or, haz lo que quieras conmigo. \u00dasame como T\u00fa quieras.\u201d<\/blockquote><p>Despu\u00e9s comenz\u00f3 a leer la Biblia de una manera diferente. Los vers\u00edculos comenzaron a convertirse en melod\u00edas. Las historias b\u00edblicas se transformaban en canciones. Las letras comenzaron a llegar con tanta naturalidad que algunas de ellas hoy las describe como piezas que siente que simplemente pasaron a trav\u00e9s de \u00e9l.<\/p><p>Cuando comenz\u00f3 a compartirlas, ocurri\u00f3 algo inesperado: la gente las aprend\u00eda, las ped\u00eda y adoraba con ellas.<\/p><p>Y ah\u00ed lleg\u00f3 el cambio.<\/p><p>NEV comprendi\u00f3 que aquello que durante a\u00f1os hab\u00eda querido utilizar para que las personas lo vieran, pod\u00eda convertirse en una herramienta para que las personas vieran a Jes\u00fas.<\/p><p>Ese descubrimiento define su propuesta art\u00edstica actual.<\/p><p>Su m\u00fasica combina adoraci\u00f3n contempor\u00e1nea con una libertad creativa que le permite explorar diferentes sonidos y g\u00e9neros. Pero, para NEV el g\u00e9nero nunca ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s importante que el mensaje.<\/p><p>Su visi\u00f3n es particularmente clara cuando piensa en las nuevas generaciones: quiere presentarles a un Jes\u00fas real, cercano y accesible. Un Cristo que no espera que una persona llegue perfecta para poder acercarse a \u00c9l.<\/p><p>Esa filosof\u00eda atraviesa su m\u00fasica y su ministerio. No busca atraer a las personas a Dios desde el miedo, la apariencia o una imagen religiosa determinada. Su deseo es alcanzar al joven con tatuajes, al que carga un pasado complicado, al que se siente demasiado lejos, al que lucha con adicciones, presi\u00f3n social, identidad o simplemente piensa que Dios no tiene espacio para alguien como \u00e9l.<\/p><blockquote>\u201cMi trabajo es traerlos como est\u00e1n. Dios se encargar\u00e1 de poner y quitar lo que tenga que trabajar en cada persona. Nuestra misi\u00f3n es ense\u00f1arles el amor de Cristo.\u201d<\/blockquote><p>NEV tambi\u00e9n entiende la m\u00fasica como uno de los lenguajes m\u00e1s poderosos de esta generaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>NEV Moreno no pretende ser indispensable para esta generaci\u00f3n.
