A new voice,
un mismo mensaje: que Jesús sea el centro.

Mucho antes de entender su propósito, NEV Moreno ya sabía que quería estar sobre un escenario.

Desde niño, la música, la actuación y las artes formaron parte de su imaginación. En los días escolares en los que había que vestirse de lo que uno quería ser cuando grande, NEV llegaba vestido de cantante. Creció imitando artistas, saltando de muebles mientras tocaba guitarras imaginarias y soñando con algún día dedicarse al arte, aun cuando prácticamente no existía una tradición musical dentro de su familia.

Sin embargo, su historia con Dios comenzó a desarrollarse en paralelo.

Cuando sus padres se convirtieron en pastores durante su niñez, comenzó a escuchar constantemente una palabra que durante años intentó evitar: llamado. Le decían que algún día sería pastor, mientras él hacía todo lo posible por alejarse de esa imagen. Quería ser artista, quería experimentar la vida a su manera y, durante una etapa de su juventud, esa resistencia lo llevó a distanciarse de Dios.

Aunque nunca dejó completamente el ambiente de la iglesia, reconoce que por años vivió una lucha interna entre lo que sabía de Dios, sus propios deseos, las presiones de la juventud y la búsqueda de en quién se convertiría.

Hasta que una conversación con Dios cambió la dirección de su historia.

Con una guitarra en sus manos, en medio de un momento de ansiedad y desahogo, hizo una oración sencilla:

"Lord, do whatever You want with me. Use me however You want."

Después comenzó a leer la Biblia de una manera diferente. Los versículos comenzaron a convertirse en melodías. Las historias bíblicas se transformaban en canciones. Las letras comenzaron a llegar con tanta naturalidad que algunas de ellas hoy las describe como piezas que siente que simplemente pasaron a través de él.

Cuando comenzó a compartirlas, ocurrió algo inesperado: la gente las aprendía, las pedía y adoraba con ellas.

Y ahí llegó el cambio.

NEV comprendió que aquello que durante años había querido utilizar para que las personas lo vieran, podía convertirse en una herramienta para que las personas vieran a Jesús.

Ese descubrimiento define su propuesta artística actual.

Su música combina adoración contemporánea con una libertad creativa que le permite explorar diferentes sonidos y géneros. Pero, para NEV el género nunca será más importante que el mensaje.

Su visión es particularmente clara cuando piensa en las nuevas generaciones: quiere presentarles a un Jesús real, cercano y accesible. Un Cristo que no espera que una persona llegue perfecta para poder acercarse a Él.

Esa filosofía atraviesa su música y su ministerio. No busca atraer a las personas a Dios desde el miedo, la apariencia o una imagen religiosa determinada. Su deseo es alcanzar al joven con tatuajes, al que carga un pasado complicado, al que se siente demasiado lejos, al que lucha con adicciones, presión social, identidad o simplemente piensa que Dios no tiene espacio para alguien como él.

“Mi trabajo es traerlos como están. Dios se encargará de poner y quitar lo que tenga que trabajar en cada persona. Nuestra misión es enseñarles el amor de Cristo.”

NEV también entiende la música como uno de los lenguajes más poderosos de esta generación.

NEV Moreno no pretende ser indispensable para esta generación. De hecho, lo expresa de manera sencilla:

“No pienso que mi voz sea necesaria. Pienso que es necesario que alguien modele y hable de Cristo. Pero si con mi voz puedo hacer eso y Jesús puede ser exaltado, entonces no me voy a callar.”

Y quizás esa frase resume mejor que ninguna otra el corazón detrás de su llamado, que cuando el mundo escuche a NEV Moreno, termine mirando a Jesús.

NEV Moreno presenta su EP debut: seis canciones con una misión clara, hacer que una nueva generación mire a Jesús.

El artista puertorriqueño lanzó su primer EP el pasado 25 de septiembre de 2026 en todas las plataformas digitales.

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO — Bajo la producción de On Purpose Multimedia, el cantante y compositor NEV Moreno se prepara para presentar oficialmente su primer EP, un proyecto de seis canciones que estará disponible a partir del 25 de septiembre de 2026 en todas las plataformas digitales.

Más que el comienzo de una carrera musical, el lanzamiento representa para NEV la culminación de una larga historia de lucha entre su pasión por las artes, su búsqueda personal y un llamado espiritual que durante años intentó evitar.

Desde niño soñaba con convertirse en artista. Cantaba, imitaba músicos y veía el escenario como parte natural de su futuro. Sin embargo, mientras crecía dentro de una familia pastoral, comenzó también una lucha con su fe y con la idea de dedicar su vida a servir a Dios.

Durante años trató de separar ambas realidades.

Después de diferentes intentos por desarrollar proyectos dentro del mundo artístico, NEV decidió dejar ese sueño atrás y concentrarse en su vida profesional y familiar. Continuó escribiendo canciones de manera privada y participando de la música de su iglesia hasta que, durante un momento personal de ansiedad y búsqueda, hizo una oración que terminaría transformando su manera de entender la música:

"Lord, do whatever You want with me. Use me however You want."

A partir de ese momento comenzó un proceso creativo inesperado. Mientras leía las Escrituras, historias y versículos empezaron a convertirse en letras y melodías. Al compartir aquellas canciones con otras personas, descubrió que eran recibidas y cantadas como expresiones de adoración.

Fue entonces cuando entendió cuál sería su dirección artística. “Hice el click de que todo esto es para que Cristo se vea, no yo.”

Su EP debut nace precisamente de esa convicción.

Musicalmente, NEV no desea limitarse a un solo género. Influenciado por artistas y movimientos que van desde Luis Fonsi y Justin Bieber hasta Marcos Brunet, Brandon Lake, Elevation Worship y otros, su propuesta mezcla diferentes lenguajes contemporáneos alrededor de un mismo mensaje.

Su objetivo es particularmente alcanzar a jóvenes que sienten que no encajan dentro de los estereotipos tradicionales asociados con la fe.

NEV quiere hablarle tanto al joven que creció dentro de una iglesia como al que nunca ha entrado a una; al que tiene tatuajes, al que enfrenta adicciones o luchas personales, al que siente culpa por su pasado y al que piensa que tendría que cambiar completamente antes de poder acercarse a Dios.

Dentro del proyecto se encuentra “Fuerte y Valiente”, una canción inspirada en la historia de Josué y en el llamado bíblico a mantenerse firme y valiente. La canción conecta ese relato con los desafíos que enfrentan los jóvenes actualmente y resume parte de la identidad espiritual del EP.

NEV considera la música uno de los lenguajes más poderosos para conectar con esta generación y quiere utilizar los sonidos que forman parte de su cultura cotidiana para comunicar un mensaje diferente.

“Quiero usar la música que hoy se está utilizando para perdernos y usarla para atraernos a Cristo. Quiero demostrar que la música cristiana no tiene que ser aburrida.”

El EP de NEV Moreno, compuesto por seis canciones, estará disponible mundialmente el 25 de septiembre de 2026 en Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music y las principales plataformas digitales.

El lanzamiento marca el inicio de una nueva etapa para el artista, pero su meta permanece lejos del protagonismo personal.

one message: that Jesus be the center.

Long before he understood his purpose, NEV Moreno already knew he wanted to be on a stage.

As a child, music, acting, and the arts were part of his imagination. On school days when kids dressed up as what they wanted to be when they grew up, NEV showed up dressed as a singer. He grew up imitating artists, jumping off furniture while playing imaginary guitars, and dreaming of one day pursuing art — even though there was practically no musical tradition in his family.

But his story with God was unfolding in parallel.

When his parents became pastors during his childhood, he began constantly hearing a word he spent years trying to avoid: calling. He was told he would one day be a pastor, while he did everything he could to distance himself from that image. He wanted to be an artist, he wanted to experience life his own way, and during a season of his youth, that resistance led him to drift away from God.

Although he never completely left the church environment, he admits that for years he lived an inner struggle between what he knew about God, his own desires, the pressures of youth, and the search for who he would become.

Until a conversation with God changed the direction of his story.

With a guitar in his hands, in a moment of anxiety and release, he made a simple prayer:

“Lord, do whatever You want with me. Use me however You want.”

After that he began reading the Bible in a different way. Verses started turning into melodies. Bible stories transformed into songs. The lyrics began to come so naturally that he now describes some of them as pieces that simply passed through him.

When he started sharing them, something unexpected happened: people learned them, requested them, and worshiped with them.

And that’s when the shift happened.

NEV realized that what he had spent years wanting to use so people would see him could become a tool for people to see Jesus instead.

That discovery defines his artistic vision today.

His music combines contemporary worship with a creative freedom that lets him explore different sounds and genres. But for NEV, genre will never be more important than the message.

His vision is especially clear when he thinks about the younger generations: he wants to introduce them to a Jesus who is real, close, and approachable. A Christ who doesn’t wait for a person to arrive perfect before drawing near to Him.

That philosophy runs through his music and his ministry. He doesn’t try to draw people to God through fear, appearances, or a particular religious image. His desire is to reach the young person with tattoos, the one carrying a complicated past, the one who feels too far gone, the one struggling with addiction, social pressure, identity, or who simply thinks God has no room for someone like him.

“My job is to bring them as they are. God will take care of shaping and removing whatever needs to be worked on in each person. Our mission is to teach them the love of Christ.”

NEV also understands music as one of the most powerful languages of this generation.

NEV Moreno doesn’t claim to be indispensable to this generation. In fact, he puts it simply:

“I don’t think my voice is necessary. I think it’s necessary that someone model and speak about Christ. But if my voice can do that and Jesus can be exalted, then I won’t stay silent.”

And perhaps that line sums up, better than any other, the heart behind his calling — that when the world hears NEV Moreno, it ends up looking at Jesus.

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO — Produced by On Purpose Multimedia, singer-songwriter NEV Moreno is officially presenting his debut EP, a six-song project available starting September 25, 2026, on all digital platforms.

More than the start of a music career, the release represents for NEV the culmination of a long journey between his passion for the arts, his personal search, and a spiritual calling he spent years trying to avoid.

As a child he dreamed of becoming an artist. He sang, imitated musicians, and saw the stage as a natural part of his future. Yet as he grew up in a pastoral family, he also began a struggle with his faith and with the idea of dedicating his life to serving God.

For years he tried to keep both realities separate.

After several attempts to pursue projects within the art world, NEV decided to set that dream aside and focus on his professional and family life. He kept writing songs privately and playing music at his church until, during a personal moment of anxiety and searching, he prayed a prayer that would go on to transform the way he understood music:

“Lord, do whatever You want with me. Use me however You want.”

From that moment on, an unexpected creative process began. As he read Scripture, stories and verses started turning into lyrics and melodies. When he shared those songs with others, he discovered they were received and sung as expressions of worship.

That’s when he understood what his artistic direction would be. “It clicked for me that all of this is so Christ can be seen — not me.”

His debut EP is born directly from that conviction.

Musically, NEV doesn’t want to limit himself to a single genre. Influenced by artists and movements ranging from Luis Fonsi and Justin Bieber to Marcos Brunet, Brandon Lake, Elevation Worship and others, his sound blends different contemporary languages around one message.

The project includes “Fuerte y Valiente” (“Strong and Courageous”), a song inspired by the story of Joshua and the biblical call to remain strong and courageous. The song connects that story to the challenges young people face today and sums up part of the EP’s spiritual identity.

NEV considers music one of the most powerful languages for connecting with this generation, and he wants to use the sounds that are part of everyday culture to communicate a different message.

“I want to take the music that’s being used today to lead us astray and use it instead to draw us to Christ. I want to show that Christian music doesn’t have to be boring.”
